Hello and Welcome!
Hello! It seems I have put the blog portion of this site off long enough and now it’s time to get down to business.
I gotta tell you that since I started promoting my business, Amazing Gray, in October, I have received the most fantastic feedback. Like anyone who blazes their own trail there is a lot of…well…winging it. A lot of late nights googling “wid
gets” and “post slugs” and learning how to integrate everything. Most of these things I still don’t understand so I get frustrated and just start scrolling through Harper’s Bazaar or Nordstrom’s site. Thank God my husband is in technology.
So what brought me here? I have my bachelor’s degree in dietetics and my master’s in clinical nutrition both from Florida State University. I have worked in numerous different areas related and unrelated to my degrees. I suppose that still hasn’t answered the question as to how I got to this point. Well, the 9 to 5 just isn’t too fulfilling when it’s not your passion. And fashion is mine.
When I was little, I sat in the pew at church with my permed hair and white patent mary janes, and passed the time by sketching little outfits I had created in my mind. I was the “artsy” kid and wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up. However, I got older and decided to go the practical route and switched my major midway through college. Now I am trying to make up for lost time.
I love people and I see this as a way to help those that have a need. A fashion emergency, a closet crisis, a shoe shortage! I want to help people become more confident in their clothing so they can focus on other things that are more important to them. This is fun for me and I want to help others not stress over something that is meant to be enjoyable!
So whether you choose to read my blog, creep my Instagram, like my Facebook posts or schedule a styling service, I hope this is a source of inspiration or encouragement to you.
